Luis Carlos Diaz is a journalist and human rights defender from Venezuela. He’s taught classes and conferences about digital tools and internet rights in over 20 countries. Amnesty International considers him a “prisoner of conscience” since he was detained in March 2019.

The internet signifies more power for the people, but at the same time, it threatens its new autonomy when there are no checks and balances or transparency on the established powers.
